I have completed my first session in Montpelier and am very proud to be representing Mendon, Chittenden, Killington, and Bridgewater.
My assignment to the Commerce and Economic Development Committee allowed me to really “hit the ground running” since we dealt with issues that I was most familiar with (small business and tourism) and, at the same time, exposed me to Banking, Insurance, State Colleges, The Department of Labor and much more. I was able to start and Chair a tourism caucus that was very active throughout the session.
I am going to finish and post my “End of Session Report” once we get back from our June 2, 2009 special session as well as start a blog to keep everyone current on what is going on that will affect our district.
